Serial Reader Brings Daily Reading to iOS

Serial Reader is a very simple app. You find a book you want to read, or several if you're a real voracious reader, then you get an installment each day that breaks up the book(s) into digestible chunks. It's not quite a chapter a day, or at least it wasn't with Tom Sawyer.

There is a fairly robust catalog of public domain books across a variety of genres. You can browse by genre or search, including some additional categories like Long Reads. Then you select the time each day your next chapter arrives. You'll have to allow notifications for it to pop up.

The app's home screen has your list of subscribed titles, as well as a percentage that tracks how well you're kept up with your reading. I don't think there's a lot of insight to be gained here, but if you're obsessed with tracking your own statistics, here's another for your spreadsheets.

Serial Reader isn't doing anything that you can't do on your own. However, if you are looking for an app to jump start your reading habit— this can come in handy. Pick it up on the App Store for free.
